The Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Honourable Vatimi Rayalu has commenced a three-day visit to the Western Division to inspect various waterways sites as well as drainage and protection works.

The visit aims to assess the progress of existing infrastructure, identify challenges, and explore potential improvements in the management of water resources and drainage systems in the region.

The Western Division, known for its agricultural and tourism sectors, plays a key role in Fiji's economy, making effective water management and drainage solutions essential for sustainable development.

Minister Rayalu's visit is expected to highlight the government's commitment to improving water management practices and ensuring better flood control, particularly in flood-prone areas.
